Now witnessing an exceptional moment with camera equipment in tow takes swagger, good fortune and sassy luck. This past week I observed Carlos Moore interview Melvin Van Peebles for his upcoming book. The two met in Paris, 1964. Melvin was acting, writing and producing feature films. Carlos was exiled from Cuba. At the time the two connected because they were cut from the same cloth and fighting to survive.
