Here is a draft time lapse for Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida.
Benji Power is a Miami native who studied urban planning at M.I.T. Kamalah Fletcher is a community organizer in greater Miami. The two work with Neighborhood Housing Services of South Florida. They introduced me to the historically African American neighborhood known as Brownsville.

On NHSSF’s behalf, Benji and his team organized 250 volunteers to paint and landscape fifteen homes in Brownsville. They completed the project in five hours. I compiled time-lapse photography of their efforts. Here is a link to a draft of the compilation.
This was a first attempt at time-lapse photography involving people painting homes. I used a two-second interval between exposures. If need be, I could slim down the sequence in post production. With two UV filters – 0.6 and 0.9 combined – I slowed the shutter to 1/10 second to create more fluid movement. Once compiled, resulting clips were 23 frames per second. If I could do it again, I would like to see results using a 2.0 or 3.0 UV filter.
It was an inspiring community event. Thanks to Benji, Kamalah and NHSSF for leading the way.
